Carer, Personal Assistant, Enabler needed within the Torbay/South Devon area

Looking for a people person who is flexible, enthusiastic and has a passion for care.

One to one support for a self-employed young man who uses a wheelchair and needs help with everyday care and tasks.

Hours will usually be between 9am-11pm approx. or a 24hr shift on a part-time basis: 1 day a week or 2-3 half day, Particularly looking for someone who can work at least some Sundays (full days or half days) and 1-2 evenings.

Prior experience of caring (either professional or family) is preferred but not essential as long as you are keen to learn and work as part of a team. Must be reliable, friendly, and willing to work on varying tasks when needed. Training will be given.

I manage and pay my own support staff through direct payments. Hourly rate is negotiable (starting at £12.50-£15.00ph+) on experience and flexibility, but above living wage

 A full UK driving licence is preferred but not vital for this role, and up-to-date DBS is required
